One thing you won’t hear long-time residents or people passing through our hometown say is, “Man, I wish there were more things to do in Greenville!” No matter what time of year it is, our city always has a wide selection of events and to-dos, but fall is a special time in Greenville and its neighboring towns. Here are a few events in and around the city you won’t want to miss:
Make a plan to make it to McKinney the weekend of Sept. 28, for their straight-from-Germany, annual Oktoberfest. Featuring the best of local brews, local eats, and local performers, this is a great time for adults and families alike.
Pop on down to Murphy on Sept. 29, for a full day of community fun. The 10th Annual Maize Days promises punkin’ chuckin’, a classic car show, a pet adoption showcase, food from local vendors, and a variety of live musical acts throughout the day. It even finishes up with a fireworks show!
Head over to Princeton on Oct. 27, with all the kiddos for arts and crafts, delicious local food, bull-riding, hayrides, mutton-busting, pumpkin-picking and fun inflatables. This annual event always makes for a happy, family-friendly afternoon!
Before you head out on your fall adventures in the Greenville area, make sure your car is up to the task by scheduling a maintenance check at Britain Chevrolet.
